MacBook 15-inch Retina

Apple MacBook 15-inch Retina  At the World Conference of the Apple Developer range this year, Apple has abandoned its massive 17-inch MacBook Pro for this: the new 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display. It is a high pixel density, fire-breathing, knee-knocking, man-eating machine!  According to Apple, is "light as air", but this did not really hit the power-to-weight. It packs powerful Intel Ivy Bridge and NVIDIA Kepler. Apple really is not joking here: the models start with a 2.3 GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor with GeForce GT 650M graphics, 8GB of RAM and 256 GB of flash memory.  The MacBook Pro Retina holds the beautifully designed unibody about 2010. One of the most impressive of the machine is just as thin. It 'insanely thin for a machine of this specification. We really think that Apple has achieved a remarkable feat of engineering here.  And all the familiar features of the Pro 15-inch are available here: Full backlit chiclet keyboard, large multi-touch glass trackpad, 720p FaceTime HD camera and speaker grilles on the sides right and left hand. The keyboard is responsive and "clicky", with excellent feedback from the trackpad.  The model Retina ago borrow one from Air change by the fact that the power button is a key chiclet black in the upper right instead of silver circle dedicated Pro outside of the keyboard. Otherwise, both the keyboard and the trackpad feel the same as the old pro.

          The machine has two new Magsafe charging adapter, two Thunderbolt ports, a USB 3.0 port and a headphone jack 3.5 mm. On the other side of the computer, Apple has abandoned the optical drive and instead added a SDXC slot, an HDMI port and one USB 3.0 port. We really like the way that Apple has placed these ports, make a lot of sense in day-to-day work.  Loss of FireWire can upset a bit ', but it will not be a big problem for the most part. The Ethernet port has also been dumped, but you can buy an adapter for Thunderbolt R380 Ethernet or a USB to Ethernet adapter for R329. An external optical drive (SuperDrive) is also available for R899 for the few who still need to use this type of support.

Now you 'talk inside the machine. Within the model we tested was a 2.3 GHz quad-core i7, 8GB RAM 1 600MHz, 256GB solid state drive, Intel HD Graphics 4000 and a dedicated Nvidia GeForce GT 650M card with 1GB of GDDR5 memory . (Note that all the components are soldered, for which they are not available upgrade options after purchase.)  This thing really flies. With a start time of about 14 years, you can see why Apple is only touts for photography, video editing, design and game. With features like these, this thing can handle anything you throw at it. Photoshop is not a problem. Neither is Final Cut Pro X and it will push out graphics-intensive games like Galaxy on Fire 2 HD and Portal 2 really good frame rate. Even web browsing feels faster.

          Right, time benchmarking! The Geekbench I got a score of about 12,000 to 13,000, which is double that of the new 13-inch MacBook Pro Novabench gives about 1100, which is about the same as last year's 27-inch iMac specced to maximum. We can thank the solid state drive for performance levels four times faster than the previous MacBook Pro writing speed is in the region of 400 MB / s and read speed of about 450MB / s. The colors are vivid with playing spot-on. This is the best shipping display on any laptop today. Period.  But what does that do to the battery screen? The computer has a built-in 95Wh lithium-polymer battery, the largest Apple laptop line-up. Despite the larger battery, Apple estimated seven hours of Web use and the most likely bet is five or six hours, under conditions of heavy use, four hours.

          In summary, the 15-inch MacBook Pro Retina is an amazing product. However, just someone who will use it to its full potential can justify the price tag. The entry-level model costs an eye-watering R23 999. This will take you to 2.3 GHz quad-core Intel Core i7, 8GB RAM, 256GB solid state drive and NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M with 1GB of GDDR5 video RAM. Then, for a crazy R29 999 you'll get a 512 GB solid state drive and a faster processor Intel thrown into the mix.
